I created an account on ProFreeHost with the username @ezyro_40295949 and my website is iconicgame3220.unaux.com.
Today, by evening, my account got suspended, and it’s showing the following message:
“Your account is suspended because it reached the daily CPU/hits limit. It will be reactivated automatically after 24 hours of suspension.”
I wanted to confirm whether my account will really be reactivated automatically after 24 hours. Also, could you please guide me on what steps I can take to prevent my account from getting suspended again in the future due to CPU or hits limit?
Yes it will reactivated after 24 hours. Accounts that use excess CPU power are suspended for 24 hours to prevent further choking of accounts which may result in slow system for all users.
Basically, it can either be caused by a-lot of traffic or too complex of a code.
You should check daily hits in your control panel. If that is high, it’s probably because of huge traffic.
Otherwise, if you are using ready-made scripts like wordpress, you can lighten your cpu load by disabling unnecessary plugins and recursive codes.
Moreover, look at ways to enable caching.
Thank you for your response. I have one more question:
After my account is reactivated, can I directly access and edit my website (iconicgame3220.unaux.com) as usual?
Or do I need to follow any additional steps or precautions before entering or making updates to my site to avoid further suspension?
I’d like to ensure everything runs smoothly once my account is active again.
Thanks again for your support. Ayush Behera (@ezyro_40295949)
Best bet would be to close the account and then test your website on local server like (XAMPP or WAMP on windows). Once you are satisfied migrate it to your profreehost account and then reactivate it.
Note: Make sure to reactivate within 2-3 days to avoid permanent deletion.
I will follow your suggested method — close the account temporarily, test and optimize the website locally, and then migrate it back before reactivating within 2–3 days.
I have one more Last question:
If my account reaches the CPU/hits limit again in the future even after optimization, will it always be suspended for 24 hours, or is there a possibility of a longer or permanent suspension?
I want to ensure I take all proper steps to avoid any long-term issues.
Thank you again for your support. Ayush Behera (@ezyro_40295949)
Most of the times account will be suspended for 24 hours in case of it exceeds any resource limit.
If it keeps exceeding limit continuously for 3-4 times, it will be suspended until user notifies that he has taken enough measures to avoid it again.
The problem is, I haven’t taken a backup of my website yet, and since the account is currently suspended, I can’t access the control panel to do so.
So, for me, the only option is to reactivate the account first, take a proper backup, and then follow the steps you suggested to test and optimize it locally before re-uploading.
