i have an addon domain on free hosting, i run openemr software for my education project and it needs enabled LDAP and Redis extentions on php.
would this be possible on free and payable hosting packages, this free accoun is to text to see if host in compatible to buy the package .
second quesiton, my host name servers are ns1.byet.org , but when going to cloaud flare for pointing to my doman, i need ip address of byet host ? what is that and any help to use cloud flare on my addon domain, please
LDAP and Redis: These PHP extensions aren’t available on free hosting, and we can’t enable extra extensions on free accounts. ProFreeHost doesn’t generally operate premium accounts.
Also, OpenEMR stores patient and medical records. Free hosting isn’t a good fit for sensitive data like that, even for a test project. If you plan to use real data, a premium hosting service or a dedicated setup would be the safer choice.
Using Cloudflare on your addon domain:
-
Log in to Cloudflare, add your domain, and choose the free plan.
-
In the Cloudflare DNS settings, add an A record for
@that points to your hosting account’s IP address. You can find this IP in cPanel under the Shared IP Address section on the right side panel. Also add a CNAME record forwwwthat points to your domain. -
At your domain registrar, replace the ns1/ns2.byet.org nameservers with the two nameservers Cloudflare gives you.
-
Keep the domain added as an addon domain in cPanel. Don’t remove it.
-
In Cloudflare, go to SSL/TLS and set the mode to Full if you have an SSL certificate installed on the hosting account. If you don’t have one yet, use Flexible.
It may take a few hours for the nameserver change to take effect.
Hope this helps!
