I can't connect to my ftp

Hello i’m trying to connect to my FTP but i’m getting this error.

Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Could not connect to server

I tried to change the FTP password but still having the same error.

Can you please tell the username of cpanel on which you are experiencing the problem?

FTP is working perfectly fine on that account.
You need to make sure that you are taking care of the followings:

  • Use ‘FTP’ file protocol (not SFTP)
  • Double check your username, password and hostname from your account.
  • Use Port ‘22’

It’s because you don’t any files in your main directory. It is empty.

FTP is still working fine on your account. I just checked. Your connection can also be a problematic factor.
