Hello, allow me to begin by expressing my utter frustration with you guys, which you can hopefully take as feedback despite its non-constructive nature.
Here goes. I find it absolutely disgustingly bad-faith and unprofessional that:
- The user account deletion process is not automated;
- The user account deletion process is actually anything but non-existent;
- The user account deletion process involves logging into the forum, which for my main user account is, for whatever reason, not possible; (I am writing this from a burner account.)
- Should one be unable to log into the forum, they are then advised to “please contact the website administrator”, which is not possible in the first place, because private messaging is not a feature of this forum, and no method other than creating a public thread is available;
- Subdomain-accounts and user accounts are both just ‘accounts’, which means that I have to write ‘user account’ a dozen times as to clarify;
- In addition to the aforementioned, changing any user-account-associated data other than the password appears to be, likewise, nigh impossible without similar hassle.
This has been my experience with your website and service in the past 15 minutes of my life, which I feel completely robbed of.
Either way, this is a burner account that I just made in order to request the deletion of my main one. I will not be writing the email address for that account here in public as it has my name in it and I reserve my right to privacy, however.
Please, admins, email my burner at [email protected] or suggest another way that I can provide the email address of my main account privately, so that it can be deleted forever, as I haven’t touched it in years. I must have signed up on this website when I was 16, and I just wish to get rid of all the accounts that I don’t use.
Nothing personal, but please - PLEASE make this easier for the next person, and private.
