Hello I’m trying to set up an email with zoho mail. However the MX record shows no domains on account so I can’t add one. I have done this in the past but it doesn’t seem to work now.
Hello, Welcome to the forum ![]()
MX records cannot be added to the free sud-domains (e.g. [yourdomain].unaux.com) provided by Profreehost.
Hello and thanks for getting back to me. This seems to be an error on my specific account.(ezyro_40133264) if there’s anything you can do on your end to somehow resolve this issue that’d be appreciated. I will attach screenshots.
This is not an error or system issue. It’s how system is designed. MX records can be set on Custom domains that you add to your account.
Free sub-domains provided by Profreehost will not show under MX records.
Ok, thanks for the information however, it wasn’t like that. I’m locked out of my accounts because I can’t get my email you used to be able to use MX for free domains.
MX records could never be created for free sub-domains provided by Profreehost. If it’s for verification purpose, I suppose you can use CNAME records.
It’s not. And I was able to previously , it doesn’t work now anymore. But I was able to create and verify the account via zoho mail using the free sub domin.
I know that it is a free service but is there any other way to add mail functionality under my functionality under my free subdomain?
You need to add a custom domain by changing nameservers to be able to manage MX and SPF records.
Unfortunately, sub-domains provided by profreehsot do not support those records.
Ok, Thanks for the help. Hope you have a good rest of your day!
