Error establishing a database connection or Cannot select database my website not open for this issue. kindly solve the issue…

Hi, welcome to the forum!

This error usually means the database details in your site’s config don’t match what’s in your account. Please check these:

  1. Log in to your control panel and go to MySQL Databases. Note the exact database name, username (same as your hosting username, e.g. if0_xxxxxxxx), and the MySQL hostname (something like sqlXXX.yourhost.com, not localhost).

  2. Open your wp-config.php (or your app’s config file) in the File Manager and make sure DB_NAME, DB_USER, DB_PASSWORD and DB_HOST match exactly. The password is your hosting account password, shown in the client area.

  3. Make sure the database actually exists. If it was deleted or never created, create it again and import your backup.
